On Sep. 21, 2012, the first first U.S.-China Hog Summit was launched in Beijing . About 130 government officials, industry experts, entrepreneurs, farm owners from China and U.S. attended the summit. Vice President of China Swine Industry Association Jing Jizhong chaired the opening ceremony and Mr.Scott Sindelar of Embassy of the United States of America, Yang Zhenghai, Deputy Head of Animal Husbandry Department of MOA, President Phil Seng of U.S. Meat Export Federation, and Byran Lohmar, Director of Beijing Office of U.S. Grains Council gave speech respectively. Centering on the topics of restructuring and supply-requirement change of Chinese pig, environment protection and sustainable development, pig manure and waste treatment, feed addictives, disease control and food security, grain security and international trade, the summit invited top experts to give presentations and exchanged views with the participants, which are highly regarded.
