According to the State Development Planning Commission Price Monitor Center, valid Jan. 16, 2017, the average egg (whole) price of the first ten days of January is 4.52 yuan/jin, with province price margin staying at 3.41 yuan/jin. Guizhou, 6.80 yuan/jin, has the highest egg price. Hebei, 3.39 yuan/jin, has the lowest egg price. While the egg price in Guizhou, Hainan, Guangxi, Tibet, Yunnan, Guangdong, Hunan, Zhejiang and Jiangxi are higher than 4.972 yuan/jin (10% higher than the average price), the egg price in Shaanxi, Jiangsu, Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Tianjin, Liaoning, Jilin, Henan, Shandong, Heilongjiang, Shanxi and Hebei are lower than 4.068 yuan/jin (10% lower than the average price).The price was 7.39% down from a year ago, and 0.87% down from the previous ten days of December.
