According to the State Development Planning Commission Price Monitor Center, valid May 24, 2017, the average egg (whole) price of the first ten days of May is 3.75 yuan/jin, with province price margin staying at 3.64 yuan/jin. Guizhou, 6.10 yuan/jin, has the highest egg price. Henan, 2.46 yuan/jin, has the lowest egg price. While the egg price in Guizhou, Hainan, Tibet, Guangxi, Guandong, Yunnan, Chongqing, Hunan, Jiangxi and Zhejiang are higher than 4.125 yuan/jin (10% higher than the average price), the egg price in Anhui, Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Xinjiang, Jiangsu, Tianjin, Liaoning, Jilin, Shandong, Heilongjiang, Hebei, Shanxi and Henan are lower than 3.375 yuan/jin (10% lower than the average price).
The price was 17.41% down from a year ago, and 1.37% down from the previous ten days of April.
