According to the State Development Planning Commission Price Monitor Center, valid Dec. 19, 2017, the average pork price (lean meat) of the first ten days of December is 15.66 yuan/jin, with province price margin staying at 8.25 yuan/jin. Tibet, 21.00 yuan/jin, has the highest pork price. Xinjiang, 12.75 yuan/jin, has the lowest pork price. While the pork price in Tibet, Guangdong, Shanghai, Guizhou, Hainan and Tianjin are higher than 17.226 yuan/jin (10% higher than the average price), those in Shandong, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Hunan, Liaoning and Xinjiang are lower than 14.094 yuan/jin (10% lower than the average price).
The price was 7.90% down from a year ago, and 0.27% down from the previous ten days of November.
