According to the State Development Planning Commission Price Monitor Center, valid Jan. 16, 2018, the average pork price (lean meat) of the first ten days of January is 15.78 yuan/jin, with province price margin staying at 8.00 yuan/jin. Tibet, 21.00 yuan/jin, has the highest pork price. Xinjiang, 13.00 yuan/jin, has the lowest pork price. While the pork price in Tibet, Guangdong, Shanghai, Guizhou and Hainan are higher than 17.358 yuan/jin (10% higher than the average price), those in Hunan, Shandong, Heilongjiang, Liaoning, Jilin and Xinjiang are lower than 14.202 yuan/jin (10% lower than the average price).
The price was 6.81% down from a year ago, and 0.17% up from the previous ten days of December.
